Welcome to Lemon Tree Therapies

Therapy for Growth

Therapy That Feels Human

You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.

Maybe something in your life has changed. Maybe you’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you’ve lost track of yourself. Maybe life looks fine from the outside, but you feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next.

Or maybe you simply want to understand yourself better.

Lemon Tree Therapies offers thoughtful, down-to-earth online therapy for Minnesotans.

We believe good therapy begins with curiosity: about who you are, what shaped you, what matters to you, and where you want to go from here.

Two therapists. Two different approaches.

Finding the right therapist matters.

We’re Tyler and Moriah Reedy, a husband-and-wife team with different backgrounds, personalities, and approaches to therapy.

You don’t need to figure out which therapeutic theory you need. Read a little about each of us and see who feels like someone you might actually want to talk to.

Tyler Reedy, MSW, LICSW

For people who want a place to think honestly about their lives.

Tyler works especially well with men and with people who may be interested in therapy but aren't necessarily looking for the stereotypical therapy experience.

His approach is conversational, curious, practical, and direct. Therapy might involve relationships, fatherhood, loneliness, anger, confidence, purpose, identity, work, loss, or simply the feeling that life isn't quite working the way you want it to.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong.

Sometimes the work begins with a much simpler question:

What's going on with me, and what do I want to do about it?

Maybe you don’t need someone to “fix” you.

You might have a job, relationships, responsibilities, and a life that looks reasonably successful.

And still feel lonely.

Or restless.

Or angry more often than you'd like.

Maybe your relationship isn't where you want it to be. Maybe becoming a father changed you. Maybe you're questioning your career, your marriage, your confidence, your friendships, or what you actually want from the next twenty years of your life.

You might not even think of these as “mental health problems.”

Tyler doesn't require you to.

Therapy can simply be a place where you get to speak honestly, examine your life, recognize patterns, test assumptions, and figure out what comes next.

You don't need therapy-speak.

You just need somewhere to start.

Moriah Reedy, MSW. LICSW, R-DMT

For people who have spent so much of themselves caring for others that they’ve lost touch with themselves.

Moriah works primarily with adults, especially women navigating caregiving, major life transitions, changing relationships, parenthood, or seasons of life when the person they used to be doesn't quite fit anymore.

When you spend enough time meeting everyone else's needs, it can become surprisingly difficult to recognize your own.

Therapy with Moriah offers a calm, nurturing place to slow down and become curious again—about what you're feeling, what your body is telling you, what still matters to you, and who you want to be in this next part of your life.

The goal isn't necessarily to get back to the person you were.

It may be discovering the person you're becoming.

Maybe you’ve been living in survival mode.

You get things done.

You go to work. Take care of people. Solve problems. Make dinner. Answer emails. Keep appointments. Get everyone where they need to go.

And somewhere underneath all of that, there’s a quieter question:

What about me?

For many of Moriah's clients, therapy creates space to finally hear that question.

As a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, Moriah brings an additional understanding of the connection between our minds, bodies, emotions, and experiences.

That doesn't mean you need to dance during a telehealth session.

It means therapy can go beyond simply talking about how you feel. You can begin noticing the physical and emotional signals that are easy to miss when you're moving through life in survival mode.

With greater awareness comes the possibility of making choices instead of simply reacting to whatever comes next.

Therapy from wherever you are.

Lemon Tree Therapies is an online practice serving clients throughout Minnesota.

For some people, telehealth makes therapy considerably easier.

No waiting room. No commute. No rushing across town after work.

You can talk from your home, office, or another private place where you feel comfortable.

And for people who are nervous about therapy—particularly Moriah's clients who are curious about body awareness but aren't sure they're ready for more experiential work—the little bit of distance created by telehealth can actually be a comfortable place to begin.

What does the first session look like?

You don't need to prepare a speech.

We'll want to know what's bringing you in, what's happening in your life, and what you'd like to be different.

But we also want to know you.

What matters to you? What has your life been like? What are you good at? What are you struggling with? What have you already tried? What do you hope will change?

You don't need to know exactly where therapy is going.

That's something we can figure out together.

Our Story

The journey of Lemon Tree Therapies began in a dive bar, where Moriah, then a bartender, wondered if lemon seeds from the bar would grow. Despite skepticism from others, she planted those seeds and believed in their potential, and now, years later, that small seed has become a thriving lemon tree. The little seed shows us that doubts, challenges, and humble beginnings don’t prevent healthy, positive futures for any of us.
